To fit in with John Smith's schedule, the meeting for the month of September will be held on the 16th, this will be the third Tuesday of the month.

John Smith has had extensive experience in the ministry field where he does not pull any punches as he fights for justice for all people in all walks of life. He is a very down to earth and entertaining speaker. Come along and be blessed by this colourful character. You will not be disappointed.

The Gospel and Mental Health

It is a few years since Bruce last presented The Gospel and Mental Health. We are excited that he can come and present it again to us. Having lived and walked through another few years of life, a fresh take on this remarkable insight we know will bless many.

The Gospel and Mental Health sessions will continue through until about July 08, all sessions will be available on DVD later in the year.

We will then continue our 1st Tuesday of the month meetings through the year using different speakers.

We're pleased to let you know that Dr Baxter Kruger will be speaking at Penshurst Anglican Church, Sydney. The meetings will be held in the church hall. A gold coin donation to help with supper would be appreciated.

Introducing the God of relationship and love - an overview of the Trinitarian gospel of inclusion. Baxter will be giving an overview of the gospel as seen through Trinitarian lenses.

Session 2: Saturday 27 October, 2007, 10.00am - 12.00pm.

The difference between the gospel of inclusion and universalism. In the gospel of inclusion, is there any basis for dis-fellowship?

Travel South along Main Rd through Coromandel Valley.

After the Sanders and grain Depot the community centre

is located on the right, down off the road,

near the tennis courts and an oval.

What's happening?:

It will be an informal day

with Baxter speaking before lunch

and an elective in the afternoon,

We will provide a BBQ and drinks as well

as morning and afternoon tea.

The Gospel: Good News or Bad News???

Speaker: David Kowalick

ALL WELCOME

David Kowalick will talk about the Good News according to Trinitarian theology. Often in contemporary theology Jesus is the last word, the footnote to the gospel story. Following on from the last meeting David will show how even in evangelism, Jesus is and always will be the first Word of God. By focusing on Jesus as the 'touchstone' discover how truly and utterly staggering the good news really is!

The meeting will be held at the Mt. Barker Baptist Church, Victoria Rd., Mt Barker.

There will be two sessions with a break for supper

A freewill offering will be taken up during the meeting

Jesus and the Undoing of Adam is Baxter Kruger's latest book. It is available from Perichoresis Australia via mail order, or from Koorong bookstores. Also from Baxter Kruger is the lecture titled: Why the Trinity Matters. This lecture is available to download, and is from the Portrait of God series. It explains the importance of knowing God as Trinity, and exposes how contrary views of God pervade our thinking in the western world - and how those views damage our lives.
